49 Days. Pure Love.

Titled as Pure Love when shown in the Philippines in 2011. I've heard this is a very good drama since then but I had not watched it because it was shown very late at night and I'm not a K-drama addict back then. When I became addicted to K-dramas, this was included in my list to watch for but still have not got to see it because I can't find a site where I can watch this until this week after finishing I Hear Your Voice I finally found one.

This is a very good story and so far the most heartbreaking drama I've watched. The story is about Shin Ji Hyun who got in car accident and had her soul separated from her body. In order for her to return to her body and come back to life she has to collect three tear drops from non-blood related people who loves her truly for 49 days. It may seem easy but it is not. As for her, having two best friends and a lot of people who likes her and have friends with her, she had difficult time looking for it. So after watching this drama I had this realizations. If I were to be a 49 day traveler too like Shin Ji Hyun was, will I be able to collect even a single tear drop? Will someone cry over me because they loved me truly, not just because of sympathy? Shin Ji Hyun's character is a bit too far from mine. Much much better than mine, if she had difficulty then what about me? It was really a difficult journey. Now, I think I have to live my life not just thinking of being a good person but acting as one.

The strength of this drama is it focuses more about life, family, friends and nature of people more than romantic love. How can you protect the people you love without hurting them. If your fate has been given, how will you deal with it. At the latter episode I've cried so hard that I've became tired and dried all my tears up. And as I've said it is the most heartbreaking so far. Why is it? Because in other dramas at least the leads got to find and come back to their loved ones whether it is in the present or future. But in here, they separated forever. But then, death doesn't mean the bond between them was broken. That's the saddest situation I think, when someone you love left this world. It's better to lose the person you love by breaking up than them leaving this world forever.

The person whom you thought who hates you is actually the person who really loves you.
Ji Hyun and Han Kang.

It's a sad drama that mirrors the reality of life. Although it is sad, I like it because of its essence, of what it wants to deliver. See, I have these kinds of thinking after watching it. This drama also reminds us that our life is just borrowed from God. We must make good use of it because we don't know when he will take it back.

The handsome and cool Scheduler. Song Yi Soo.

The character I admire most. Shin Ji Hyun.

I love the story about Ji Hyun and Han Kang and Song Yi Kyung and Song Yi Soo, the twists where she remember her 49 days journey, that Scheduler is Yi Soo and Yi Kyung is Ji Hyun's lost sister, the characters and the portrayal of the actors, the song and everything. Here, I'll leave some songs that I really like from the drama.

Can't it be Me? Han Kang's love to Ji Hyun.

Tears are Falling. The story of Song Yi Kyung and Song Yi Soo. The most heartbreaking love story.

Can't Forget You. The song that always makes me cry whenever played in the drama.

Nothing Happened. Another sad song.

I recommend everyone to watch it. Although the story and ending is sad, it's worth watching and still lovely.
