A Gentleman's Dignity

At the age of 40, ang pinakaiingatan ng isang lalaki ay ang kanyang dignidad.

It’s another Korean drama I that just finished watching and loved. It didn’t appeal me that much at first but because ABS-CBN always shows its trailer on commercials I was convinced to watch it since it doesn’t look bad at all. So I watched the pilot episode as it is also in between of Paraiso and Secret Love Sungkyunkwan Scandal which airs every weekday afternoon at ABS-CBN. It also became a part of my afternoon habit.

A week after finishing Faith of Lee Min Ho I looked for something funny to watch at the internet.  And a week after watching A Gentleman’s Dignity on TV, I was hooked and thought why not watch the full series already. And so I did. I loved it from the beginning til the end. It was so funny and romantic. I only cried on the part that are really too touching and laughed the whole time. There was never a dull moment. I love how the main male lead gets jealous and the female lead acts when she’s always caught on her lies.

The characters are all awesome. The friendship of four men is admirable. I think those kind of friendship are rare nowadays. It’s funny how their friendship started over a nonsense fight when they were in high school. And though they have great individual differences they remain and even became stronger as decades passed by. And their leading ladies made a great role in making these guys a real gentleman. Moreover, they are still very charming specially the main lead despite of their age. Their immaturity are cute as well.

I really like this drama because of its story. It made my intent of becoming a bachelorette firmer. It shows love knows no age. So live your life to the fullest and enjoy your youth. Be good cause what you’re doing in the present and have done in the past will have an effect in your future.

I also love the dialogues in this drama. But this one retains in me because what I admire is the friendship more than the romance of each character in the drama. "Sometimes adolescents fight for no reason and become “we” for no reason. When adolescents become "we", they’re also called another name, “friends”.  Only then do adolescents become special."  : )

Reminiscing.....

The ladies of our gentlemen.
“Adolescents never become mature. They just get older. However, adolescents who have gotten older know how to go a different way and how to shine a different colour. Thanks to these women, we were given the opportunity to be gentlemen instead of just ordinary men. That’s why we’re able to say “Goodbye, boys”."
- Kim Do Jin

One of the funniest scene. So cute how Do Jin got jealous because Yi Soo is smiling with a man in the car so he bumped it intentionally.
Im Tae San and Hong Se Ra.  A wealthy  hot-tempered engineer and a professional liberated golfer.
Lee Jeok Rong and Park Min Sook. A flirty cafe and bar entrepreneur married to a strict and feisty wealthy landlady of the whole street.
Choi Yoon Yi and Im Meah Ri. A smart and kind but lonely attorney and a young woman who dream of marrying this man all her life.
Kim Do Jin and Seo Yi Soo. A flirty successful architect and the goddess of ethics teacher. My favorite love team in the drama.

I want a video of the four gentlemen together but there was none in Youtube right now. So I'll just leave this video soundtrack of AGD.

Everyday

My Love. I got lss in with this song.
