That Winter The Wind Blows

I just loved the title of this Korean drama. It made me think if the grammar is just correct and analyze the structure and the message of it. What about the winter? what about the wind? It's just funny. And I still keep on thinking what other words can be the title of this out of the words that winter the wind blows.

Bad boy look Kim Bum

Moving on, here's another melodrama that I've recently watch and I liked it. The story is good. Actually I think its better than Missing You. Or, okay they're both great but I prefer this TWTWB . Maybe its because of the story. Its not so dark like in Missing You and there were no boring scenes. I especially like Kim Bum here. His cuteness has turned into handsomeness. Bad boy look suits him.

So the story goes like this. Oh Soo (Jo In Sung) pretended to be the Oh Soo that was the son of the owner of a big company in Korea and who has a blind sister who is Oh Young (Song Hye Gyo). This is to get the shares of the real Oh Soo who died a year after to pay for his debt from an illegal gambler Mr. Kim, who accused him of embezzling his money. Oh Soo did everything to prove to anyone that he's the real Oh Soo that was the brother of Oh Young. It was difficult to tame Oh Young at first but then he got the trust of Oh Young in the end. So they had sweet moments together and they get along very well to the point that they sleep together every night. Unknowingly, during the times that they've been getting along well, Oh Soo's growing feelings for Oh Young and Oh Young to Oh Soo. Knowing that it's wrong, Oh Young asked for some distance to Oh Soo and thought to rush her marriage with her fiance Lee Myung Ho. Oh Soo have also convinced Oh Young to undergo a surgery to treat her brain tumor and blindness. So they set everything, Oh Young's marriage after the surgery. But then, Oh Soo's ex-girlfriend who can't let go of him and who was the real culprit of embezzling the money demanded to go with her to Italy and live together, if not she'll spill the truth to Oh Young that he's not the real Oh Soo her brother but the Oh Soo the conman. Oh Soo didn't come so she immediately called Oh Young to reveal everything and leave for Italy alone. Oh Young became cold to Oh Soo afterwards but didn't confront him. Oh Young's already been aware that people around her are just taking care of her because of her money but she just stayed quiet all those years. One day Oh Soo and Oh Young went on a trip together. That's their last trip together because Oh Soo planned on leaving after Oh Young's surgery. On that trip they have finally confronted each other Oh Soo knowing Oh Young already knew about his identity and Oh Young knowing Oh Soo's identity. Oh Young told Oh Soo to leave when they came back to Seoul. In Seoul, Oh Young have also told Secretary Wang, her stepmother who caused her blindness and embezzled money from their company to leave. She also cancelled her marriage with Lee Myung Ho knowing Secretary Wang and him connived on this. The one that's left with Oh Young was Lawyer Jang who was his father's friend and who truly cared for Oh Young. Oh Young gave money to Oh Soo before he leaves but Oh Soo just took a bundle of it to pay for Jin Sung's (Kim Bum) debt who got involved because of him. On the day of surgery, Oh Young tried to slash her wrist. Fortunately, Oh Soo came and called the doctor immediately. The surgery was set again on another day. Before the surgery having a 50% successful rate, Oh Soo and Oh Young have talked about all the truth and confessed their love. How and why Oh Soo changed to live his life as a decent person because of Oh Young and how Oh Young was hurt but still loves Oh Soo. So they promised that if the surgery is successful they'll see each other again. But then, Oh Soo gambled his life again to free himself from his debt to Mr. Kim. He end up getting stab by Jin Sung who was forced to do it to save his family as per Mr. Kim's condition.

It's so heartwarming and heartbreaking watching the last scenes of the drama. Actually all of the scenes but of course last scenes have more impact. From Young's confession which I understand how she feels (cause I have the habit of putting myself on the actress'/actors' shoe) to Jin Sung's having no choice but to kill Oh Soo whom he's very loyal with. This drama didn't bore me at all. And there are twists which make it more exciting. The love story between the two lead casts was romantic, not cheesy at all.

Gladly, though it looked like a sad story it has a happy ending. You'll thought that Young's surgery wasn't successful and Oh Soo was dead. But no no no! I'm happy cause at least even just a little Oh Young got to see Oh Soo and Oh Soo was alive quietly keeping an eye to Oh Young. And they got to freely love each other.

Happily ever after

Here's some clip of the drama. I also like the songs. It suits the drama, the scenes, the story and everything.

My Everything Global Tour 2013 in Manila

Lee Min Ho's promise of coming back to Manila on his last fan meet on November 2012 has just been granted last Saturday July 6, 2012 as he perform his first concert on stage at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. If I'm not mistaken, the Philippines is his fourth or fifth stop for his world tour concert. And Filipino fans like me were so excited of it. He arrived on July 4 at 10:44 in the evening looking very casual wearing plain white shirt, pants and slippers but still very handsome. In the morning, he attended a ribbon cutting on one of the Bench store in BGC and had a press con there and interview at Bandila on Tito Boy's segment Ikaw Na. Here's hisinterview with Tito Boy:
Isn't he so cute? He' more than cute actually, he's very handsome.

Going back, I really regretted that I didn't buy the VIP ticket for the concert. I was supposed to buy it but I don't know why I changed my mind. "Kakuriputan" attacked along the way. So I ended up with a Lower Box ticket instead. I had a great view there but my camera couldn't capture what my eyes can see. And so, I couldn't share any nice photos of him. Sabe ko nga I would buy a better camera na eh. I envy my workmate who has lots of up-close photos of him cause they're in the patron seat and she got to run near the stage while I can't. And one more thing why I regretted not buying a VIP or Patron ticket is that fans who received gifts from him and received a hug from him are from those seats. I could have the chance to stand near him if I were only on those seats. If "kakuriputan" didn't attacked.

Moving on, I enjoyed the concert. Although I was on myself in the Lower Box (because my workmate and her friend were in patron seats so I am seated with totally strangers) I was able to shout and respond to what the host was saying. When she asked who wanted to keep LMH warm because he said he was feeling cold that night, my hand automatically raised up. And when the host asked when is his birthday and sing for him I am able to answer and sing too in Korean.

The concert started with his first song My Everything, then he took off his coat and sang and danced for You and I. And then a little talk. He said he had Kare-kare and he liked it. He liked to go surfing someday in the Philippines and that his recently learned Filipino word is maganda. Some more are about his endorsements on Bench and Line. Then  back to the concert he performed Pieces of Love, Love Motion and My Little Princess. Again, there's a small talk, well actually it's the gift giving portion wherein he picked the lucky ten winners of the Bench shirt, line doll and another doll that is made of paper said Sam Oh (I forgot what it's called). And the luckiest of all is the eleventh picked who received the polo that LMH has just worn the day before the concert during his press con with his signature and also a doll. He performed again singing Without You. He changed his outfit and performed his finale Say Yes where everyone is waiting for his butt dance.

Although he's not really a singer he's not bad at all. Gosh what could I ask more of you Lee Min Ho. He might not dance well but he's really sexy and I feel that's he's shy on his dancing and it makes him really cute. I mean handsome. If only I were picked and asked what would be my message to him, this would be my answer: Thank you for coming back and sharing this joyful moment of your life. I don't care what you do, as long as I feel you're enjoying it, I will still support you. I love you Lee Min Ho. :)

And to share also, me and my workmate and her friend rushed to Diamond Hotel when he left the arena without any plan. We just wanted to see him more but sadly he didn't came to the hotel right away. We just went home leaving other fans waiting inside cause we don't have the energy anymore. We still have work for tomorrow. Sad, but it's okay. He said he'll definitely come back and by that time I will fight this "kakuriputan" of mine. :)

Bebe ko

Currently playing Sarah Geronimo's It Takes a Man and a Woman, soundtrack and title of her new movie with John Lloyd Cruz.

Its the first time I went to the cinema alone cause I don't wanna miss this movie. I've only got today and I'll be busy for two weeks that's why I wasn't able to wait for my friends to answer if they wanna come with me.   But it seems like they don't since they've got their boyfriends and maybe they have planned too on watching this movie with their partners. That's the disadvantage of being single, poor me. I can't also make a commitment with my colleagues cause we have different schedules and its hard to adjust it.

Anyways, I love this movie because it's the sequel to the first two movies of Sarah and John Lloyd which was shown in 2008 and 2009, my college days. My friends and I would always watch it together in cinemas. Too sad, this time I'm alone. This third sequel of Sarah-John Lloyd movie was very awesome and was better than the first two. So if you got hooked on the first and second movie, you'll get more hooked and addicted to this. There are more kilig and funny scenes specially at the end. And it also gave a lesson about love.

I won't be talking about A Very Special Love and You've Changed My Life anymore cause it will be too long. And besides, It Takes a Man and a Woman is the best part among the three. It's my favorite. The story started with Laida coming back to the Philippines after four years in Canada and New York and a flashback on how she and Miggy got separated. Miggy is presently in a mutual understanding relationship with Belle, the woman who Laida assumed Miggy cheated with two years ago that causes their break-up. Miggy's company is not doing well and the board of directors want him out so he has to work with a consultant from New York who happens to be Laida. Imagine two ex-lovers working together. So of course their personal issues always got involved in their work. They always fight and pretends not to care and forgot their past. Laida always shows off her new self as a bolder, stronger, wiser, braver and fiercer woman as she says. But in the middle of it, their feelings cannot be really hidden. When Laida knew about the condition of Miggy's company she sympathies him and helps him finish the project they have been doing wholeheartedly this time. They went to New York to cover Laida's life there as their presentation to the client and in that time being the two of them alone in New York, they have talked about what happened to them after their break-up and felt the love the way before as they tour around the city. But Belle comes in the picture that cut their almost there rekindling of love. The two remain as colleagues until the success of their presentation. But in the end, Miggy realize what kind of man he want to become and that is to be Laida's last love. So he proposed to her in the airport with the help of all the airport staffs and some passengers and his sister and brothers singing Kailan, they're theme song in the first movie. They got married and its a very romantic and moving scene. I just cant describe how it is but its totally awesome. Iwould like to have that kind of love story too and of course the type of man. Who wouldnt like Miggy.

While watching it, I felt that I'm also in the same position as Laida's (Sarah) when I was in college and the time I became single and still seeing my ex. So, I know the feeling of Laida when he met Miggy (John Lloyd) again after two years of their break up. I've always liked Sarah Geronimo among all the artist in the Philippines and of course John Lloyd Cruz. Who would've not liked his movies. Many are requesting to have part four of their movie but for me its enough to leave it there. Just make a new one that's different from this story. But I'll surely miss these two bebe kos.

Here's a preview of the first two movie.

A Very Special Love

You Changed My Life

And of course, It Takes a Man and a Woman

The Fierce Wife

the tv series

This is a Taiwanese drama series that I've watched in 2011 and I can highly recommend it to everyone. When I learned that there's a season 2 of this drama, I immediately searched for it but I discovered that it is not a series but rather a movie now. Still, it is the continuation of the story in the series. It is not shown yet in many countries but I do hope it will also be shown in the Philippines even just on television for those who have loved the series to see. The title of the movie is the same adding the last chapter of the drama. The Fierce Wife Final Episode

The story of this drama is about a happy married life of a very good housewife, an almost perfect wife whom I believe every man wants and a responsible and kind husband who turned out to be a cheater after they took care of the housewife's cousin. Though it may seem like it is like the other infidelity shows that are being aired nowadays in Korea and also in the Philippines, what I like most in this drama is the delivery, the story, the characters, the complication of the situations, the lessons, the acting and also the song though I can only understand it through its melody. I am always moved in every episode I watched and I always think of what if I were in the shoes of An Zhen (the wife). I also feel the other characters as if I were them. Every happening leaves a mark on me and it breaks and touches my heart. The story seems so real.

What I liked most in this drama was when An Zhen decided to have a make-over, started her career and dropped the thought of getting her ex-husband back. Thanks to Lan Tian Wei a young executive of a car manufacturer who helped her get through all her hardships and fell in love with her regardless of her status, age and everything she went through. And when his ex-husband was asking to reconcile with her to start all over again but she disapproved. This time I feel sorry for the husband but if I were An Zhen I would likely do the same to him cause the scar was already imprinted and though he make up for all he had committed I don't think I can be happy again the way I did before because the pain was so deep and its not an easy to forget experience. But looking at Rui Fan's side (the ex-husband) it was really a remorseful thing that he had lost everything after realizing or learning that his true love was really An Zhen.

the movie

The ending of the series which was continued in a movie through The Fierce Wife Final Episode started four years later after her divorce with Rui Fan. An Zhen became more beautiful and became an assistant manager in Hyatt hotel in Taipei. Still, Tian Wei was pursuing her but she cannot decide yet because of her fear to experience again what her marriage with Rui Fan had become. But finally in the end she got the courage to pursue her happines with Tian Wei. Her ex-husband who have thought of rekindling with her again wasn't able to continue anymore  after meeting his son with Wei En (the cousin who wrecked their marriage). At the end he was left with his daughter with An Zhen because they've let An Zhen pursue her happiness this time (with Tian Wei). Wei En and his son didn't stay too long and left for US.

The ending is still sad for Rui Fan and their daughter. Though I do not want An Zhen to get married again, I also do not want her to lose Tian Wei. What a sad sad ending for the ex-husband. This will be a great lesson for husbands out there. Wives out there I think its best if you watch it together with your husband. Hehe.

Of course will I not share the song I loved in this drama? There's also a good one in the movie but I highly prefer this one that's in the series. There's none with scenes in its mv lets just get the meaning of it. I;m not really sure of the title if its Zhi Wang. Anyway this is a good one.

Love Rain

Another K-drama that I finished and got hooked up. I've read on some sites that it received low ratings when it aired in Korea on summer of 2012. I don't know why because for me it's one of the best that I've watched. Not all K-dramas I've seen are posted in here. Just those that I really loved and would recommend to others that I know for sure they'll also love.

In here I've fallen in love with Jang Geun Seuk. I've learnt to appreciate his charms and personality. Before I only see him as "okay he's cute" and that's all. Now when I see him I have that "kilig" feeling and remember how he was in Love Rain. I've watched You're Beautiful but I didn't like him there. Though the personality of his character in You're Beautiful was quite similar with his personality in Love Rain, I like him in Love Rain more. If only I've watched Love Rain before You're Beautiful, I could have loved him earlier. And also I like Yoona of Girl's Generation as his love team and even his real life partner more than Park Shin Hye. I think they look better together and I just love them together. When I watched their scenes it looks so real and they are comfortable with each other. This drama also made me look for Yoona. And so, I became familiar of Girl's Generation songs.

More than the good acting of the actors and actresses of their characters and especially of course the sweet scenes of the two leads, I also liked the story of the drama. I was also undecided who I wanted to have the happy ending. The parents or the children? Well actually I wanted the children have it but I think the parents deserves it also because they have suffered so much. So how will it be? I'm glad cause it turned out good at the end. The parents gave way for their kids. Since they experienced the feeling of not having the one you love and for the sake of their kids, they let their kids to continue their relationship and the parents decided to be friends instead. The lesson in there is that you don't need to have a relationship to give your love to a person. And also, true love comes once in a lifetime. You may find another person to love but there will only be one person who'll have the biggest impact on you so when you feel it have the courage to fight for your love and do not let it go.

Though it did not received high ratings in Korea, I think it will click when it will air in the Philippines. And knowing that the ABS-CBN acquired it, Love Rain lovers wont be disappointed.

I just love Seo Joon and Jung Ha Na. Don't they look good together? They made me feel in love this February :)

Sweet remembrance......

Seo Joon (Geun Seuk) is such a turn on to me. Ha Na (Yoona) is a very lucky girl.
I want. I want. I want. hehehe :p

Dream High.... High High

Why did I watched it just now? If not for Tous les Jours I still won't watch it until now. It's not in my priority list of k-dramas to watch for. But thanks to Tous les Jours, after hearing that they are one of the sponsors of this drama (because I had my part time job at Tous les Jours in Greenbelt) I decided to watch it cause I wanna see how Tous les Jours in Korea is.

Moving on, this drama introduced me new entertainers from Korea whom I have now love like Taecyon and Kim So Hyun and IU. I'm not really a fan of Korean pop music, just the drama shows and movies but now I plan to look for 2PM band because of Taecyon and look for IU's songs because she's really great. I love all the songs she sang in the drama. Taecyon is really handsome and he looks so nice. Kim So Hyun, well he got a talent knowing he's not really a singer or dancer, but he did so well in the drama. He looks like one of those that belonged in a band.

Dream High is a very inspirational drama. Its about looking for your dreams, surpassing all the obstacles and getting those dreams so I understand its ending why it did not focused on the romance of the leads. And also, it talks about friendship. The narrator and the teacher (I think they're just one) gave really good lines. Very inspiring. For the romance, I think its just good that they've pursued first on their dreams. But in fairness I also got confused on who to choose between the two guys. I do not contradict that Go Hye Mi choses Song Sam Dong, although they were not really together because Sam Dong had bigger opportunity than the rest.

I love all the things that happened in the drama. All the characters and of course the songs. This drama got me really addicted listening to its soundtrack. My top favorite OST song which is Creating Love of Perfect Taste has now been replaced by Someday, Maybe and Can't I Love You. But of course I like it much more if the actors who sang it in the drama sung it. These songs makes me wanna fall in love. Great melody, rhyming and lyrics.

I feel like a teenager again when listening to this song. I remember of my schooldays. Watching this drama felt like a student again. I think of my dreams and inspired by it. This song sang by the leads. It's really good. Love High.

My new OST favorites:

Someday by IU. This love song between Jin Kuk and Hye Mi and of course by its singer Pil Suk and Jason, the cutest couple in the drama.

Maybe originally sung by Sunye of Wondergirls. Sung by Kim So Hyun and Suzy in the drama. I mean Sam Dong and Hye Mi. I remember Sam Dong here and his love for Hye Mi and because of that, Hye Mi was moved at the end. Well if it was me I would also be. :)

Can't I Love You sung by 2AM. A beautiful song with very beautiful lyrics. Perfect song for Go Hye Mi from Song Sam Dong. Also suitable for Jason and Kim Pilsuk.

This is where I first like this song. Kim So Hyun and IU sang it in acapella very beautifully. I think its better than the original hehe. I'm so addicted to this.

There you go. The reason I love Dream High.

Secret Garden

Just when I thought I've seen the best ending of a Korean drama in Sungkyunkwan Scandal (for me personally), then now I think there's even better than that. Oh jeez! Now I'm seeing Korean dramas with happy ending. Usually the finale of most Korean dramas that I've watched are hanging. Though it's quite good too to leave the final impression to the viewers but still everyone wants to see a happy ending. In this series Secret Garden, it did gave a happy ending to the story between the two leads and the other characters. But I think I would be more delighted if up to the very ending of the film it had the happy scene instead of recalling the very first time they saw or rather the guy first met the girl at the funeral of her father. It was too sad that the drama would end and the ending is also saddening because of that last scene and the song. The song is good with Hyun Bin singing it. It is also good with Baek Ji Young. They both did justice to the song.

So regarding this drama series, I didn't thought that I would like it this much too. The first episodes where just okay to me. It made me laugh, giggle and fluttered especially by the main guy lead Hyun Bin as Kim Joo Won. He's the reason I hold on to this drama. Yeah, he is really the reason I liked it this much. I liked his character and his portrayal of the character. He gave so much justice as the rich, stubborn, obnoxious, arrogant, smart man who unexpectedly fell in love head over heels to a poor, orphan, warmhearted stuntwoman Gil Ra Im played by Ha Ji Won. And also when they switched their bodies and Joo Won would be Ra Im so he would act so strange doing Ra Im's habits. That was so hilarious. Moreover, I am always smitten to how Joo Won did everything for Ra Im just to see her, to be with her, to make her happy and to win her. He fell unexpectedly to a woman who was out of his standard. And this woman was not an ordinary one. What made him cling more to Ra  Im was her always dumping and ignoring him.

When it was on the last four episodes I started to get hooked with the story because of the events that occurred. I cried so hard like the way I cried in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. I really loved Joo Won on those episodes. I then also liked the love story between Oska and Director Yoon Seul.

Like any other drama I liked the songs that was played in here. It really added so much to the drama. Now I am really eager to study Korean language.

I think I will be addicted to this for some time until I watch a new series that I would really liked like this one and the others that's been posted here. Well, I just can't get enough.

That Man by Hyun Bin. This is the song that at the ending and at the episode where it was really heartbreaking. I've searched for the translations and it really has a good lyrics. It expresses Kim Joo Won's feelings towards Gil Ra Im.

This is why I liked Kim Joo Won.
